NIYONKURU Lewis participated in society civil organisation in Burundi, and took pictures for alternative Channel, during public consultation session on ICT and global Medias. In January 2006, ASASS-Burundi organised a five days workshop training seminar on balanced nutrition and micronutrients deficiency: Minerals and vitamin A deficiency problems alleviation in Burundi. Volunteer journalists and students were organising parallel programs PUBLIC CONSULTATION on ICT and global Medias: Business Medias for global education and relief humanitarian services. During those events, reporters to Burundi-Africa Alternative Channel.tv along with journalists from National Radio Television (RTNB), conducted consultation session, asked question on how Medias and ICT can contribute for development and protecting climate change.
