Mama Lucy with Lifeline radio



Mama Lucy Odipo, founder and headmistress of the Little Bees School in Starehe township, speaks about the blessing of solar power since she does not have electricity and cannot afford to buy batteries.
Mama Lucy, a local heroine, looks after 20 orphans in makeshift housing. An additional 180 children attend primary school in community build classrooms.The Kenya Institute of Education broadcasts the primary school curriculum via radio.The Lifeline radio will give children sustainable access to the educational broadcasts.
