There is urgent need to both neutralize carbon emissions and reduce poverty on a large scale globally. Worldview Impact is creating sustainable livelihoods in the developing world by investing in green business opportunities at the community level. We are creating environments where local people can actively participate in climate change mitigation and adaptation projects, including carbon off-setting by planting rubber trees.

It is estimated that 10 fast growing rubber trees can offset the annual carbon footprint of an average European or North American.

We aim to mitigate 1 million tons of greenhouse gases -  offsetting the footprints of 100,000 Europeans and Americans -  by growing 1 million rubber trees on underutilized land. And we’ll do it organically, sustainably, and ethically.
 
Projects in each of our nine pilot countries share these targets:

1. Protect the environment and biodiversity; mitigate climate change by establishing rubber tree plantations, water and clean energy harvesting projects.

2. Enable local economic growth by creating sustainable livelihoods; green jobs for rural people.

3. Support social development through poverty reduction initiatives and by providing skills training for rural youth.

4. Promote conflict resolution through the creation of safe, respectful and sustainable working environments for parties in conflict.

5. Support public health by manufacturing carbon-free, organic contraceptives and surgical gloves for disease prevention.
