CSRminute: International Securities Exchange Benefits Ronald McDonald House

The International Securities Exchange, on its tenth anniversary, has
partnered with Ronald McDonald House New York to launch its first CSR
program, “Ten in Twenty-Ten.” ISE has organized ten events to be held
throughout the coming year to benefit the families staying at Ronald
McDonald House New York, including dinners, summer outings, and holding
a Wish List drive. In addition, ISE is donating all profits from
organizing the 2010 Options Industry Conference on behalf of the entire
U.S. Options industry. Ronald McDonald House New York provides housing
and support services for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

The Grameen Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps
microfinance institutions replicate the business model of the Grameen
Bank, has introduced the Pioneer Fund, its newest campaign. The Pioneer
Fund is a new initiative which seeks to provide direct financing of the
next generation of microfinance institutions that are working in remote
or underserved areas, especially those in sub-Saharan Africa. According
to the Grameen Foundation, over 90 percent of funding in the
microfinance sector goes to 150 of the largest MFIs, while the
remaining ten percent goes to 9,850 smaller MFIs who  focus on the
poorest of the poor. The Pioneer Fund aims to help this second group of
MFIs.
