Hammarby Sjöstad, the eco-friendly district in Stockholm
An old industrial area with polluted soil is now one of the trendiest districts of the Swedish capital city. In 2004, when Stockholm applied for welcoming the Olympic games, it relied on its environmental asset. Athens won the Games, but Stockholm got the first eco-friendly district in the world.
