Rigoberta Menchu Tum: the topic of Health is a complete tragedy

Rigoberta menchu Tum answered to journalists attending a private press conference organized after her seminar on Human and Indigenous people rights during the Alternative Channel Forum, April 30 2008 in Barcelona. The first topic was Health. Rigoberta Menchú Tum explained the difference between occidental and indigenous health and highlighted the lack of access to health centres. Her foundation proposes to patients to only pay 2 euros directly to the doctor and not to the clinic. The impact is strong with more than 55 000 patients coming to the foundation health centres every month.
