Muhammad Yunus, lending money to the poor women



Muhammad Yunus, the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, attended the IUCN
Congress in Barcelona on October 2008. His initiative, the Grameen Bank
consists in lending money to the poor, specially women. He is currently reproducing the 'microcredit' he has invented in Bangladesh in the developed world. The Grameen Bank has more than 7,5 million borrowers worldwide, mostly women.
