On October 2 2009, 60 musicians and celebrities from around the world released a free reworked version of "Beds are Burning" to highlight climate change issues ahead of the United Nation's talks in Copenhagen. Singers included Lily Allen, Simon Le Bon from the '80s group Duran Duran and Bob Geldof. The former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and French actress Marion Cotillard also added their voices to the cover version. The song is part of Global Humanitarian Forum tck tck tck time for climate justice campaign and is a part of the greater "TckTckTck" project[3], which aims to draw attention to the urgency of the global warming crisis, by signing a "musical petition" with each download.

What is "Climate Justice"? It is justice for the hundreds of thousands that die every year because of climate change, for those whose communities and&nbsp; economies are ruined by cyclones, floods, droughts and crop failures. It is&nbsp; justice for the young and future generations who will face greater catastrophes if something isn't done today.
Ultimately, everyone deserves Climate Justice, because everyone will be
affected, some day sooner rather than later. All the world's nations will meet there in December to find a solution to the issue. But since there is a visible lack of leadership to act from those representing us, we need to campaign and pressurize them to
do exactly that. This is where you and the tck tck tck campaign come
in. The aim is to make governments pay attention, hear the people and
make real changes - and with your help, we can make this happen.<br />
