Profile — Shahjahan Siraj
My name is Shahjahan Siraj ( siraj@machizo.com ). I am a online journalist, multimedia local content producer and a lecturer in the department of media studies and journalism of University of Liberal Arts ( http://www.ulabd.net ) . Along with teaching at university, I am publishing UnnayanNews (http://www.unnayannews.net ) and UnnayanTV (http://www.unnayantv.com ). However providing content creation support to 12 NGOs of Bangladesh. I have taken training on Media and Human rights development in several countries. However I have linked to world prominent media forum and initiatives. I have founded the Machizo Multimedia ( http://www.machizo.com ) , the social entrepreneurial multimedia organization . Just before I was chief of Drik Multimedia ( http://www.drik.net ), however was the online editor of Banglarights ( http://www.banglarights.net ). In 2005 I have received Panos Media Fellowship for the UnnayanNews initiative. Local content creation, Knowledge management, Multimedia productions ICT4D advocacy are my working arena.
