Seal the Deal! - the UN Worldwide Campaign on Climate Change **************************************** The United Nations is leading a powerful campaign to encourage governments to seal the deal on a fair, balanced and effective climate agreement when they meet in Copenhagen in December 2009.Entitled Seal the Deal!, the campaign is mobilizing political leaders, the business sector and civil society on an ambitious, global scale to apply pressure for urgent action on climate change. ******************************* The campaign provides a framework for UN advocacy on climate change in 2009. It features special events and online activities, including the Climate Petition, aimed at building an unprecedented groundwell of public support in the lead-up to the crucial UN climate convention meeting, COP 15, in Copenhagen. People in all corners of the world are urged to join the global chorus calling on world leaders to seal the deal on a global agreement to combat climate change.
