What is it?
Green Speed Dating (or "carbon neutral love") brings together single people, living in the same area, who care about the environment, believe in sustainability, and would like to meet others who feel the same way.
At a Green Speed Dating event, you'll meet 10-20 people of the opposite sex in your age range and will get to talk to each person for 3 minutes. When the 3 minutes is up, the organizer rings a bell and you rotate to the next person. After you've talked to each person, you let us know who you would like to get to know better, we send you each other's contact information and you take it from there! I’ve heard about speed dating in our place. All you need to do is to fill-up a form then the organizers will give you the chance to talk with all men/women (opposite sex) out there. After a day or so, you’ll get some report of the match from the organizers. It isn’t free of charge.

Glad to know about Green Speed Dating. I think they are organizing a very good program by coordinating the peoples of local area. Their efforts are really praise able.

The participants will have mere minutes to see if sparks fly.Afterward, they will fill out a form saying whether they’d like to see each other again. If both say yes, they’ll get each others’ e-mail addresses. No awkward exchange of numbers. No stinging face-to-face rejections. If there aren’t any green connections, they can take solace in the fact that the price of admission will help build solar panels in Nicaragua.

personalised giftI have a priority date of May 02 (citizen sponsoring unmarried child over 21) and I was just informed that NVC has completed processing of my case and my file was forwarded to the embassy in my home country (Caribbean). I was wondering if anyone can share some information on what’s next? When should I hear from the embassy? What are the other steps in this long process? Any ideas when the whole process should be completed and I should have my green card in my hand? Whether there is anything I can do while I wait - gather other required documents, police reports etc to maybe speed up this process?
